Extra Long Shank to Use with Fastway Weight Distribution System EQ90-02-4500
Question:
I am looking at the Fastway e2 WD hitch w/trunnion 600 lb TW to tow my 2017 R-Pod 178. I would like to get the 18 shank so I can lower my tailgate without unhooking. Can I replace the 12 shank for the 18 shank? Also, can you install the 2 ball on the hitch?

Expert Reply:
The Fastway e2 weight distribution system part # FA92-00-0600 that you referenced is only sold with an included shank so you'd have to go with the extra long shank part # EQ90-02-4500 in addition to the kit.
We can't install the hitch ball onto the head of the system but we do offer the socked you'd need for the job with the part # ALL643216.
