Rooftop Cargo Bag Recommendation For 2010 Subaru Forester Roof Rack
Question:
2010 Subaru Forester. Is there a need for a basket on this cars rack system? Can I just use a soft side bag like Rhino or Rightline?

Helpful Expert Reply:
A cargo basket is not absolutely necessary, you can use just a cargo bag and attach it to the roof rack of your 2010 Subaru Forester. A Rhino-Rack bag does require a basket, so I recommend going with a different option from Rightline:
-Rightline Gear Sport 3 Rooftop Cargo Bag # RL100S30
I like this bag because not only is it large, holding 18 cu ft of cargo, but it's also waterproof, so the contents inside the bag are going to stay completely dry, unlike most cargo bags that are simply water resistant and still allow moisture in.
