Would RockyMounts MonoRail Sit Up High Enough Not to Melt from Exhaust 2016 BMW X1
Question:
Greetings, I have a Rocky Mount Rack and found that on my 2016 BMW X1 hitch installed after I purchased the car the exhaust was hitting the rack and started to melt the pad. Does this rack sit high enough when closed to prevent that? I did get a hitch extender but not idea and diverters are not an option with my vehicle. Thanks,

The RockyMounts MonoRail Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount, part # RKY10004 has quite a bit of rise built into it as it has 12-1/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the top of the cradle closest to it. When it is installed in the hitch of your 2016 BMW X1 it would easily sit up high enough that it would not melt from the exhaust.
