Is it Normal for Both Posts or Roadmaster Charge Kit Relay to Have Voltage

Question:

I am installing a toad kit on a 2020 nautilus. I am using the roadmaster battery disconnect and the road master charge line kit. I have a question about the charge line. I have hooked up the wire from the 6 wire plug to the gold post on the charge breaker and the wire on the silver post to the hot side of disconnect. Without the car plugged in for tow is it normal for there to be 12 v on the gold post. In other words flowing from the silver post batt to the gold charge side. I thought the breaker allowed current to go only one way. Thx

It is normal for there to be voltage on both posts of the breaker that comes with the part Roadmaster Charge Kit part # RM-156-25. A breaker allows voltage to travel in either direction basically and serves the purpose of protecting the circuit from overdrawing if too much amperage is drawn. It does not have anything to do with controlling the direction of the voltage.
