To replace your Atwood G6A-7 water heater, the best option, by far, is a tankless heater. Tankless heaters are better than the older, manual pilot heaters like the Atwood models because they are much easier to use with their wall control, they conserve energy so well by only using it once you turn the water on, and - maybe most importantly - give you immediate hot water, which is always a fantastic thing.

So I highly recommend a tankless heater from Fogatti, which comes in either white or black, and you'll also need a pressure relief valve for the install:

- White: Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot # LSB64FR

- Black: Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot # LSB44FR

- Camco RV Water Heater Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve # CAM10423

The only thing to keep in mind is that the Atwood heaters had very large doors, at 18" wide x 14" tall, so you're going to have to have some trim added or built in to accommodate any heater you get for a replacement, including these, which have doors that measure 14-15/16" tall x 14-15/16" wide.

The Fogatti heaters overall measure 15" tall x 15" wide x 14-3/8" deep, so they will fit the same depth and width as your Atwood, which is 12-1/2" tall x 16" wide x 18" deep, but you'll want to make sure you have that extra height in the space for your heater.
