Can Rainwater Leak into the Thule Force XT Cargo Box?
Question:
Can the Thule Force XT leak when it rains?

Helpful Expert Reply:
While no cargo carrier is 100% water tight, it is highly unlikely that water will leak into the Thule Force XT box like the # TH6356B. This is because the lid has a lip that goes all the way around the box that allows water to drop off from the lid onto the roof without going into the bottom base of the box where your cargo is stored. I went ahead and attached an image that shows this lip.
The Force XT fits crossbars that do not exceed 3-5/16" wide x 1-1/2" tall. If you need a crossbar recommendation for the box, feel free to respond with your year/make/model/roof type, and I will be happy to make that recommendation.
