Will the Tekonsha Brake Controller Harness # 22292 Fit Both a 2001 and 2011 Ford 150
Question:
Does the Ford Wiring Harness work for multiple model ford trucks? I have a harness for a 2011 F-150, would it also fit on a 2001 F-150? Or does it take a different adapter?

Expert Reply:
A brake controller wiring adapter from a 2011 Ford F-150 like part # 22292 will not fit a 2001 Ford F-150. Ford made a change to the factory brake controller plug after 2008 which is why the trucks require two different plugs. For a 2001 Ford F-150, you will want part # 3035-P.
