Can Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Be Installed Higher on a 2013 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Question:

I am deciding between Curt and Draw-tite hitches. I downloaded the Curt instructions and they indicate the hitch can be mounted in a higher, through front fascia, or lower, below fascia position. Is this true for this part #? The photos appear to only have one position.

Draw-Tite front mount trailer hitch # 65049 can only be mounted one way on a 2013 Ford F-250. The side brackets are welded on to the cross member so it will only go on one way. I have linked the instructions and a video showing installation for you.

On Curt front hitch # C31018 the side brackets bolts to the cross member. If you bolts the cross member on with the receiver on top it will exit the vehicle at a different position, just like you said. Page 3 of the instructions, linked for reference, show the hitch in the lowered or raised positions. Fascia trimming will be required if mounted in the raised position.
