Which Bike Rack For My Draw-Tite Hitch And My 2022 Subaru Outback Will Let Me Carry My E-Bikes?
Question:
I have a draw tight hitch on a Subaru Outback. Will that hitch hold an electric bike on a Yakima rack?

Well, all that is really dependent on the type of bike rack you have currently.
For instance, if you have a Yakima bike rack like the Yakima RidgeBack 2 Bike Rack # Y02457, then you would NOT be able to transport electric bikes.
This is due to primarily to the limited weight carrying capacity of 40 pounds per bike. This is likely not enough capacity to support the majority of e-bikes on the market.
Instead, you're going to need a bike rack like the Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # Y36FR. This bike rack is designed to carry e-bikes, and is likely to work great with your e-bikes.
This bike rack has a carrying capacity of 66lbs per bike, and can accommodate up to 3.25" wide tires. Additionally, this rack does also have a tilting feature that'll allow you to access your rear cargo area without interference with your bike rack.
If you let me know what e-bikes, and bike rack you have right now, I'd be happy to let you know if you'll be good to go or not.
