Parts Needed to Install a Trailer Brake Controller and 7-Way Harness On a 2010 Toyota Tundra
Question:
My 2010 tundra has the plug connector under the dash for a brake controller. How much of the ETCBC7 can I eliminate by having this connector? Is there another kit do I need to purchase to do the job? Thanks

As your 2010 Toyota Tundra already has the connector for a Wiring Adapter # 3040-P to install a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885 you may not need any of the Wiring Kit # ETBC7. You will likely already have the connectors to install a Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness # HM11143395. I have linked a installation video below that shows where this harness is being connected so you can identify if you have both connectors. If you have the connectors you will need to verify with your owners manual that you have all the fuses and relays installed for the trailer connector.
Otherwise you will need the full Wiring Kit # ETBC7 and the Prodigy P2 # 90885 to be able to install a brake controller on your Tundra.
