Does Roadmaster EvenBrake Portable Braking System Require Tail Light Splicing
Question:
The Easy Brake will not pass the test. The motorhome monitor is saying brake light failure. There is no connection to any brake light circuit due to me using the wireless tow lights.

In regards to the installation of the Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Supplemental Braking System part # RM-9400, the ICX Transmitter must be hooked up to the cold side of the brake pedal which requires a physical connection to the brake light switch wires at the pedal. This is used for the monitor which gets mounted in the motorhome and lets you know when the pedal is pressed in the vehicle. This is separate from the tail light wiring. This process is further explained on page five of the included instructions attached below.
