Is The SmartPlug RV Internet Inlet With Ethernet Port Shielded?

Question:

Wondering if this is a shielded connection. Im thinking about using it with a starlink cat5e cable to get the starlink service into my Airstream. I cut the starlink cable today and noticed it was shielded.

I contacted the manufacturer about your question, as I was unable to determine with certainty from the manufacturer's provided specs. Their response for the SmartPlug RV Internet Inlet, # SM38FR is that it is not a shielded connection and for your application they do not foresee it causing an issue.
