Mounting Bracket for a Redarc Tow-Pro Brake Controller on a 2021 Toyota Highlander
Question:
The mounting panel for 331-TPSI-002 appears to be rectangular. The 2021 Toyota Highlander has square “blanks” in the same spot as the 2019 shown in the videos. Is there a 2021 square panel option? Also, what is the purpose of the 40 amp breaker and the 20 amp breaker? Are both necessary?

Yes, there is a square option for mounting the control knob of the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty item # RED24FR. It is the Mounting Panel for Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller Control Knob item # RED48FR. This panel is custom fit for 2019 to current Toyotas with square-shaped switch blanks so it should match up perfectly with your 2021 Toyota Highlander. I have linked a couple of review and installation videos below to help you with the installation process.
You will need the Universal Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers item # RED69FR to complete your installation.
As far as the breakers on the Universal Installation Kit item # ETBC7 go. The 40 amp is for the charge line and the 20 amp is for the brake controller. They are both necessary. I linked an installation video below.
