Travel Trailer Approved Bike Rack Options to Fit with Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk  

Question:

I plan on purchasing the Stromberg Bike Bunk for my travel trailer. So it will fit any bike rack with a 2 inch hitch application. Im hoping you can clarify which bike racks if any that hold 3 or 4 bikes are approved for use on a travel trailer. Thanks.

We do have travel trailer-approve bike racks you can use with the Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk # CC-275.

I recommend checking out the Swagman Original # S64152-2 for a 3-bike rack or the Thule Range # TH9057 for a 4-bike rack. These have been tested and approved for the extra movement travel trailers experience but I would like to make a note that the Bike Bunk only has a weight capacity of 100 lbs and that accounts for the bike rack as well. The Original weighs in at about 25 lbs while the Range weighs 36 lbs.

You nave to make sure your bikes don't weight more than 75 lbs (altogether) if you go with the Original or 64 lbs (altogether) for the Range to keep from overloading the Bike Bunk. Also keep in mind that any children's bikes or bikes that lack a horizontal top tube require an adapter bar like part # 64005.
