Fitment of Skid Plate With Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver on 2005 Toyota Sequoia
Question:
After the Curt part#31180 front tow hitch is installed on a 2005 Toyota Sequoia, are you able to remove the skid plate for oil changes? I understand that the skid plate does not need to be removed in order to install the the hitch.

The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 31180 on your 2005 Toyota Sequoia requires the skid shield to be removed if one is installed. Feed back from others has stated that they have chosen to trim some material from the skid plate for better fitment when reinstalling.
Please note the linked installation instructions and an installation video of this being installed on a 2001 model year vehicle.
