How To Tap Into The Brake Light Switch Of A 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500
Question:
2009 Silverado blue/white and red vehicle wires have 12 volts at all times, without pressing brake, normal or suspect bad brake switch, brake lights work normal.

The brake light switch wire on 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500's is unusable to tap into so you'll need to install a stop light switch kit to tap into for your brake controller.
You'll need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751220 if you have adjustable pedals or the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751421 if you do not have adjustable pedals.
