I am wondering if the round mounting brackets for the Yakima kayak carrier Y04083-04082 are large enough to fit on the factory installed FJ Cruiser roof rack?

We definitely have a way to confirm whether your round bars on your 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser work with the Yakima Kayak Carrier # Y04083-04082. As long as the round bars on your rack are at least 1-1/8 inches in diameter, the # Y04083-04082 can clamp onto those bars. I recommend measuring the diameter of your bars to make sure they fit into this thickness requirement.
