Trouble Removing Stuck B&W Gooseneck Hitch Ball and Safety Chain Kit

Question:

I just bought a 2016 Ram that has the BW hitch with fold down handle. The ball bearing must be rusted below the bed and will not come out. How do I get lubricant to them or other suggestions?

It can be difficult to remove the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit for Ford, GM, and Nissan Titan XD Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # BWGNXA2061 if it gets stuck. This is why we recommend removing the hitch ball while not in use and applying copious of grease while in use. That said, there are not really any tricks to removing a stuck unit; applying grease, heat, and force are the best way to get a stuck hitch ball out. If the old unit is damaged during removable or becomes inoperable it will be best to replace the entire unit with a new one.

@Joe There's no magic solution to make get that removed. Lots of spray lubricant and knocking the ball with a dead blow hammer or a stout mallet to apply shock to the ball is your best bet. Sorry we disappointed you, but that's the best advice we can provide, which came straight from B&W.
