Can Pop & Lock Kit be Used for A.R.E. DCU Truck Cap

Question:

I have an ARE DCU cap it does have keyless entry, but they no longer work. The cap has 3 doors on it. What kit would work best and do I need one kit for each door?

The Pop & Lock Power Lock Conversion Kit # PAL9772 should work just fine on your A.R.E. DCU cap, and you would need one for each door you want to activate like this.

Prior to purchasing and replacing though I would check to see if the problem is the electic locks on your cap or if the problem is maybe a blown fuse or damaged wiring on your pickup. You might need a circuit tester to check along the different wires to see where the power stops. If you can trace it all the way up to the operating unit and it still has power then that's when you'll need to use the Pop & Lock kit.
