Recommended Way to Stop Truck Rear End Movement When Towing a Travel Trailer In Windy Conditions

Question:

I have been experiencing rear end movement side to side when towing my travel trailer on the highway. It usually happens in windy conditions. I am considering the timbren SES as a solution to mitigate this issue. Will this help with my issue?

I have a recommendation as the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TDR1500DS is only designed to help reduce sag and provide stability in turns on your rear suspension. First if you do not already have one you want to use a Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET. This will help reduce trailer sway that occurs in windy conditions. This particular system is rated for a trailer weight up to 10,000lbs and a tongue weight of 600-1,000lbs.

If you already have a weight distribution system you will want to check the adjustment through the owners manual. I have seen the hitch over tightened to the point to much weight was transferred to the front axle which causes the rear to more easily loose traction and slide around like you are experiencing.
