Fifth Wheel Adapter for 2011 Ford F 350 Towing Raptor Toyhauler

Question:

I just bought F 350 w/ B andW turnover ball gooseneck hitch, raptor trailer specs are GTW 18, 000 and trailer king pin weight 3, 460. Coupler CAB-C5G a good fit for this setup.

From a ride-quality standpoint, using a fifth wheel hitch to tow a fifth wheel trailer is always the preferred option. Since your truck already has a gooseneck hitch installed in it, there are other alternatives (see link).

The Reese Goose Box is the best alternative, but because of its 16,000 lb capacity, it would not work for you. The next best option would be to use a Curt X5 Fifth Wheel Adapter, like part # 16310 which is compatible with B and W square shank standard center gooseneck hitches. The adapter provides industry-standard fifth wheel rails that would allow you to use a Curt, Reese, Draw-Tite, Husky or Valley stationary or sliding fifth wheel hitch.

Using the Convert-A-Ball CAB-C5G adapter you mentioned would work well for your toy hauler, but keep in mind that using an adapter of this sort can exert extra stress on the frame of your fifth wheel and may have warranty implications.
