Settings for Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System
Question:
My invisibrake does not release until 1.5 to 2 seconds after I release the RV brakes. Is this normal? Can I set it to release as soon as I release the RV brakes or within .5 seconds? Thanks

When installing the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System, # RM-8700 it is advisable to go to the roadmaster web site (listed in your installation instructions and linked below) and select the "Vehicle Specific Info" tab then go to "InvisiBrake" to view your towed vehicles recommended starting brake pressure. This page on the site has settings for most common automobiles used as towed vehicles. If you have done this and selected the advised starting pressure for your towed, you are on the right path. From this, if any additional adjustments are needed, follow the instructions to "dial-in" the desired setting. There will be a time delay from the input, not only the actions of brake application, but a further time delay in the indicator signals. If you have the brake indicator light installed and noting a release indicator delay from this visual, a 1 to 1-1/2 second delay is not unusual. Your input i.e. brake application or release, needs to travel from the motorhome cab to the towed, complete its action and return a signal.
