Trailer Hitch Receiver, Wiring Harness, Brake Controller & Weight Distribution 2015 Town and Country

Hello. We hope everyone at etrailer is safe and doing well. We own a 2015 Chrysler Town and Country. We would like to purchase a 2” tow package for the van. You have two listed on your website. Which one would best suit our needs if we need to tow large/heavy trailers? Thanks so much! We look forward to your reply.

I recommend the 2" Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75579 for your 2015 Chrysler Town and Country for towing large trailers. I find the receiver has a better build quality as the cross tube passes through the frame bracket plates rather than being flush welded to the plates.
Be sure to use a weight distribution hitch like the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37060ET as this will help reduce rear suspension sag that can lead to reduced braking and light steering feel. You will need a 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 to install the included 2" hitch ball.
For wiring you will need the Curt T-Connector # C56331 and the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7. This will be everything you need to install a 7-way and install brake controller like a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195.
