Can New Holes Be Drilled Into The Mounting Plate Of The Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack
Question:
Im interested in replacing the Lippert Premier 4000 tongue jack on our 2019 Airstream 23CB Flying Cloud. Unfortunately, Im not willing to mess with lengthening the trailer ball distance to obtain the necessary room for lowering the tailgate - so Im only interested in a model where we can rotate the head 90 degrees. Does this model not permit new holes to be drilled and tapped for such a transition? Thanks,

You could drill new holes in the mounting plate of the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack # JET-5000 to fit your spacing needs on your 2019 Airstream Flying Cloud Travel Trailer. If possible the best way to mount is to have it welded to the tongue of your trailer.
If you do drill new holes in the mounting plate I recommend spray painting the bare metal of the new holes to prevent rust and corrosion.
