Installation and Mounting for the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator
Question:
I want to understand the mounting needs for this actuator. I have a single axle magictilt boat trailer, with 3inch mounting location. has existing square 4 hole backing plates, but not trailer brakes. Any photos of this actuator installed?

I looked on Demco's website and was able to pull some information and diagrams on how you would mount the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator item # DM8609101. I have attached them below. I was not able to find any pictures of this Actuator installed. The installation is pretty straight forward though. It mounts to the top of a 3" wide trailer tongue with three 1/2" x 4-1/2" grade-5 bolts. These bolts are not included.
This kit does not include a lock out kit so you will need the Manual Reverse Lockout Kit for Demco Hydraulic Trailer Brake Actuators item # DM5939. This will allow you to back up the trailer without the brakes engaging.
If you would like to send me some information about your wheels, spindle/bearing size, and axle capacity, I would be happy to make a recommendation on brakes.
