I have a definite way to determine what Brophy Camper Tie-Downs you need for your 2017 Ford F-150 short bed. I confirmed with Brophy that in order to know if you truck bed fits the tie-downs, your truck bed must have a minimum of 2 inches of space between the rail lip and the sidewall of the truck. In order to know if the Brophy tie downs work, I recommend measuring your truck. I went ahead and attached an image that shows how to conduct this measurement.
Another factor to consider is the overall width of your side rails. They cannot exceed 5-1/2" wide.
If you find that you have enough space, I recommend using the Brophy Clamp On Camper Tie-Downs - Bed Mount - Black Powder Coated Steel # HSAB. This model comes with an upward angle to provide you with better access with your turnbuckles.
Unfortunately, Brophy that stake-pocket mounted style tie downs like the # TDSF are not compatible with your truck.
