To mount the Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for Demco Hijacker SL Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # DM8553009-12 in the bed of your 1998 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71 you will need to have your Demco SL Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch. First you will need to install the hitch into the SL rails and center the assembly between the fenders. If you have a 6-1/2' bed the rear edge of the rails need to be 19" from the rear edge of the bed. For an 8' bed the rear edge of the rails will be 25-1/4" from the rear edge of the bed(see images).
