1987 Toyota Sunrader Suspension Enhancement Kit Recommendation

Question:

Im looking to lift the rear of my Sunrader a couple of inches. I had a set of Firestone Airbags that slowly leaked, so I removed them. The rear of my RV weights in at 4400 lbs with gray and black tanks empty. The leaf springs are underslung and the old airbags were mounted ahead of the rear axle. I am leery of using airbags with a 5000 lb limit. Id like to know what options I have in addition to another set of airbags, such as helper springs. Also, do you think having my leaf springs reshaped or replaced is the best option. Please advise. Thank you,

Expert Reply:

For your 1987 Toyota Sunrader built on the Toyota motorhome chassis the Air Lift air bag kit part # AL88113 is a confirmed fit and would work great to reduce suspension sag.

If the suspension is in bad shape like with worn out leaf springs you would need to replace those as well. We do not carry them at this time.
