How To Attach to 2014 Jeep Wrangler That Has Base Plate Installed

Question:

Hi, I have a 2014 Wrangler with a Blue Ox front baseplate. Id like to get a front cargo tray that can be mounted using the 2 hole attachments that my Blue Ox tow bar currently uses, but everything i see appears to only work with a typical front hitch. Does anyone make a cargo rack that can work with a Blue Ox baseplate when the vehicle is not being used as a Toad? Thanks!

While a front mount cargo carrier that attaches to Blue Ox base plates is not offered, we do have a solution for you to install a cargo carrier, but it needs to be on the back of your Jeep or mounted to the top. Using the rear mounted hitch, you can install a carrier such as the etrailer # e98874.

Normally a front mount hitch would be available, but since the hitch and the base plate kit you have installed share the same installation location, they cannot both be installed so mounting the basket to the rear of your Jeep is your best bet.

If you do not have a trailer hitch receiver for the rear of your Jeep just let me know and we can make a recommendation for you.
