Is an Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System Needed for a Honda Ridgeline
Question:
I have a honda 2014 ridgeline and pulling a trailer well within the weight range at only 2000 lbs, the tongue weight is about 260 pounds but it s my truck about 1.5 inches in the back, would the equalizer hitch be a benefit to me to level the load out?

Yes, there are benefits to using a Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System like part # EQ37040ET even on lighter trailers. For starters, lighter trailers tend to have more sway which the above system will help get rid of. The trailer although light can also still causes squat which creates a number of other issues as well such as poor braking, instability, etc. The Equal-i-zer will help push the weight from the rear of the truck to the front to minimize the squat and help you get back to the factory ride quality.
