Should The Sidewinder Wedge Rotary Wheel Still Rotate While The Wedge Is Torqued Down

Question:

Once I torque the wedge bolts I am unable to utilize the rotary wheel to adjust the wedge as It is locked in place. Damaged the wedge and the hitch head try to make the sidewinder work in conjunction with the Reese M5. Shouldn’t I be able to adjust the rotary dial with wedge bolts torqued?

The rotary wheel on your Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret # RP77FR should still be loose enough to slide your wedge back and forth while it's torqued down. It sounds to me like you may have accidently over-torqued the bolts so I recommend checking the manual that came with your Sidewinder and ensuring that you're torqueing the bolts to the correct specifications.
