Do 5TH Wheel In Bed Rails Need To Be Changed When Going For a 16K to 20K 5TH Wheel Hitch?

I have a 16K hitch and am putting in a 20K hitch. Are the rails the same rating for both?

Most all 5th wheel hitches use the Industry Standard Rails like the Curt Universal Fifth Wheel Base Rails # C16204. I have included an image below with the measurements the rails will be spaced for the individual 5th wheel hitch holes. The rails will be capable of supporting the 20,000lb hitch as long as they do have the correct spacing for the 5th wheel hitch and are not damaged or severely rusted above or below the bed with their mounts.
The Curt Q20 Fixed # C16130 and A20 Slider # C16541 are very well known for their durability and quietness when towing.
