Replacement Hydraulic Brakes, Hubs, and Bearing Kit For a 12,000LB VRSA Equipment Trailer
Question:
I own a VRSA tilt bed 12k equipment trailer with 16inch wheels and suspect the brakes need up graded. Do you carry replcement pads for this brand?

For the 6,000lb Lippert axles on your VRSA tilt bed trailer you currently have the Hydraulic Trailer Brake Kit # AKUBRK-7. With Hydraulic brakes I recommend replacing the entire assembly to reduce the risk of the wheel cylinders failing down the road. We also have the Free Backing Brake Kit # AKFBBRK-7-D if your braking system uses a manual override these will allow you to reverse without the brakes stopping you.
I do recommend inspecting your Hub # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K beforehand to determine if they are also in need of replacement. If they are under their minimum thickness or have deep grooves they will need to be replaced. We also have the Bearing Kit # BK3-100 that will allow you to replace damaged bearings or races in your hub. If everything looks good for the bearings and hubs the Grease Seals # RG06-070 should be replaced when you add the new brake assemblies.
