A brake controller isn't a vehicle specific item, they'll work with just about vehicle with a 12V electrical system. The Tekonsha P3 you'd looked at, part # 90195 will work just fine with a 2017 Jeep Wrangler.
How you'd install the brake controller will depend on whether your Jeep is equipped with the tow package with the 7-way trailer connector at the rear bumper. If you have the factory 7-way, Jeep has ran the brake output circuit from the 7-way up to passenger compartment where it terminates under the dash, usually to the left of the steering column. You'll want to look for a coiled up blue or light green wire. To finish the install, you'll need the # 5506 install kit.
If you don't have the factory 7-way, you'll need to start with a functional 4-pole. If you don't yet have one, you can install one using part # 118416. To install the controller, you'll need our # ETBC7 brake controller installation kit. The kit includes the adapter to convert the 4 pole to a 7-way, as well as all the necessary wire, hardware and circuit breakers to complete the installation.
I've linked to some videos that will assist with the installation.
