Will Yakima SkinnyWarrior and SkyBox 16 Carriers Fit 60 Inch JetStream Crossbars
Question:
We have a GMC Yukon with Yakima 60” jet stream bars installed. Can the skinny warrior basket fit with the Skybox 16 carbonite? Thanks.

The Yakima SkinnyWarrior # Y07014 is 23" wide while the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 # Y95AV is 35" wide. This means both products will take up 59" of crossbar space so mathematically they will fit on the crossbars but the problem you're going to encounter is opening up the SkyBox since it will have to tilt in towards the SkinnyWarrior. It may works out but it's going to be a tight squeeze.
You could swap out your 60" bars for the longer 70" JetStream Crossbars # Y00427 but that's a pretty big jump in crossbar size and I'd be afraid the crossbars will stick out past your side mirrors which could get you pulled over.
If you'd like to go an alternative route then you can use or add a hitch receiver to the back of your Yukon and use a hitch mounted cargo carrier like the standard etrailer # e98874 or the upgraded Yakima EXO Swing Away Cargo Carrier # Y72VR which is essentially the SkinnyWarrior installed on a swinging base.
