Expert Reply:

The only advantage the Tuson DirecLink Network Enhanced Trailer Brake Controller would have over other proportional controllers is the ability to work with up to 4 axles or if you were using the ActuLink EOH actuator or Tuson ActuLink ABS. Unless that applies to you, you're better off using a different brake controller.

For your 2004 Ford F-350 I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR. This is a high quality brake controller, and far more economical when compared to the Tuson. The main unit installs out of sight so only the control knob will be visible in the cab of your truck. The knob controls the braking power and also acts as the manual override.

It uses a 3-axis accelerometer to measure deceleration. It also features active calibration technology which continuously monitors your direction of travel and adjusts brake response accordingly You will also need the # RED87FR for installation.

I have attached an installation video for your reference.
