What Flat-Tow Setup do I Need for My 2019 Ford Fusion Energi Titanium?

Would I need a Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles RM-156-25? or is that not needed for 2019 Ford fusion Energi Titanium?

If you are looking at a Roadmaster tow bar to flat-tow your 2019 Ford Fusion Energi Titanium, I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-522. The Falcon allows for you to easily release your vehicle even in uneven ground and simply slides into the RV's hitch receiver without the need of a ball mount.
In addition to the tow bar, you need a base plate, a tow braking system, safety cables, and vehicle tow light wiring. For those components, I recommend the following setup:
- Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-524458-5
- Brake Buddy Classic 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39494 along with the Brake Light Relay Kit # RM-88400
- 40" Vinyl Coated Safety Cables with Clevis Hook (Qty. 2) by Dutton-Lainson, 6,500 lb # DL20119
- Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 (non-SEL models only)
The great thing about the Roadmaster Direct Connect base plate kit is that is simply installs into your Fusion's chassis. I confirmed with Roadmaster that this base plate fits your Energi Titanium model. It comes with all required hardware for installation. In addition, you will also receive the proportional action of the Brake Buddy Classic 3 which applies the Fusion's brakes at the same level that you apply the brakes to your RV. The relay kit is needed in order to keeps your Fusion's brake signal from overriding the turn signal sent by your RV. With the diode kit, this will allow you to connect your RV's tail, brake, and turn signal lights to your Fusion's lighting system. If you happen to have a SEL model, the magnetic tail lights are a much easier and headache-free than using a diode kit with a required charge line.
As with all flat-tow applications, I recommend consulting with your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure you abide by all recommended guidelines from the manufacturer.
