Will The Saris Bones Bike Rack Work On My 2022 Honda CR-V With Not Much Bumper Room
Question:
One of your responses said that this bike rack would fit a 2022 CR-V touring hybrid. The instruction video for the saris bones indicates that the rack must sit on the rear bumper when the tailgate is closed. Looking at the saris bones, on various sites I noticed one of the consistent complaints was that the bumper on this car does not extend far enough from the tailgate for the rack to sit on it. Indeed, the bumper on my CR-V extends only about an inch when the tailgate is closed. Can you tell me if this is a valid concern? Will the rack work when it has only one inch on which to sit? Thanks.

This will not be a problem with the Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms # SA805BL. The rack is designed to work on rear hatches, so the 1" is plenty of room. Once the straps are tightened you will be fine.
I have included a demonstration video to help you out.
