How Do # UF48-979011 Skid Wheels Attach to RV and Do They Reduce Ground Clearance
Question:
I have a 32foot MH with metal skids. Would the wheels be an advantage over the skids and where do they attach? Another concern is would attaching the wheels reduce the already low clearance?

Expert Reply:
The skid wheels would typically weld to the underside of the RV frame. Using skid wheels would be advantageous because it would help prevent the RV undercarriage from scraping against obstructions like speed bumps. Instead, the wheel would hit the obstruction and ride along it. So technically, the wheels would decrease ground clearance but it would not create a problem because the wheels would pass over the obstacle.
