Retrofit Tankless Water Heater In Rebuild Of 2005 MB Cruiser Class B

Question:

I am looking for a tankless water heater to replace a GC6AA-10E. The existing mounting hole is 16x12 1/4inch is there a direct replacement to fit that existing opening? We are Rebuilding a 2005 MB Cruiser Class B

We have a great option in the Excel RV Tankless Water Heater, # EX93FR. This is a vent-free design with an ODS (Oxygen Depletion Safety) shutoff device that detects low levels of oxygen. This can be installed almost anywhere in you RV as long as you have decent air turnover, simply have a ventilation fan operating will accomplish this.

The electronic ignition requires no standing pilot, which saves on your propane consumption. The ignition is provided by 2 D-sized batteries. You can even use rechargeable D-sized batteries.

The overall dimensions are 11-1/4" wide x 14-5/8" tall x 5-1/4" deep and requires a cutout dimension of 17-1/4" wide x 22-5/8" tall. While this varies from what you have listed, if you are doing a complete rebuild this may work for you and is my preferred retrofit for tankless systems.

We also have the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater, # FR98SR that is 12-5/8L x 12-13/16W x 19-3/16D relative to the Atwood's 12-1/2" tall x 16" wide x 18" deep. These are the two best options we have, my preference being the Excel RV Tankless Water Heater, # EX93FR.
