How To Tow 2001 Toyota Tundra Behind Motorhome

Question:

Hitch for 2001 Toyota tundra. I need to haul the truck behind a 32ft RV. I also have a trailer hitch on my tundra in the back of the truck. Can that be used to haul it from back to front vs putting a new hitch on the front of tundra?

We can help you get set to tow your 2001 Tundra behind a motorhome, you will need to use a tow dolly such as the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes, # RM-2050-1.

What you have is a receiver hitch used for attaching a ball mount to connect to a trailer. What is used on the front of vehicle for towing behind a motorhome, referred to as "flat towing" is something very different. I linked a help article below that walks through all the needed equipment and their purpose.

From information available to me, it is doubtful that your 2001 Toyota Tundra can be flat towed. I suggest you review your vehicle specific owners manual to determine for certain, look under the section listed as "Recreational Towing". Not all vehicles have transmission/power trains that allow them to be flat towed.

This is why I recommend the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes, # RM-2050-1. This tow dolly has a pivoting deck for easy maneuvering and electric brakes for safe stopping.
