When choosing a weight distribution system you will go by the total tongue weight. This is calculated by taking the tongue weight of the trailer when loaded and ready to tow then adding the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the vehicle. Ideally you want a system with a tongue weight capacity range that encompasses the total tongue weight or a max capacity that exceeds the total tongue weight.
Tongue weight of a trailer is typically 10 to 15 percent of the gross trailer weight. At 9000 pounds you are looking at around 900 to 1350 pounds, not counting the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.
System # RP66082 is rated for 200 to 600 pounds tongue weight and would be inadequate for the weight of your trailer. If you are on the high end of the tongue weight range even system # RP66084, which is rated for 600 to 1200 pounds, would not be sufficient. I recommend a system that is rated for 800 to 1500 pounds, # RP66130.
This system does not come with a shank so you will need to choose one based on the rise or drop you will need. You will measure for rise or drop the same way you would for a ball mount. I have linked an FAQ article that will help. Once you know the rise or drop you need you can determine the best shank for you. I have linked the shanks that will fit. You will also need a ball, # 63840.
I have included a link on tongue weight and weight distribution for you. Given that the tongue weight of the trailer will be so high you will want to check the trailer hitch and the vehicle owners manual to make sure both are capable of this much tongue weight.
