I have a 2000 Casita travel trailer with dexter torsion axle. Just wondering what the life expectancy of this axle would be.

There are to many variables that need to be considered for the life expectancy of a Dexter torsion axle.
My recommendation is to replace them sooner than later since you cannot check the condition of the rubber cores inside your torsion axle. The Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System w Electric Brake Hubs # A35RS545E is a great replacement for your axle on your 2000 Casita travel trailer. This is a universal fit system that comes complete with electric brake drums and a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. It is rated for 3,500lbs and unlike your Dexter axle you can see the AEON progressive-rate main springs to determine their condition.
