Hatch Clearance with RockyMounts MonoRail Solo # RKY10007 without Tilt on a 2019 Honda Passport
Question:
My question is whether I can open the rear hatch door on my Honda 2019 Passport without tilting the Rocky Mounts MonoRail Bike Rack when there is no bike on the rack. Would you please advise? thanks

While I do not have the length of your fully-extended trunk available of your 2019 Honda Passport, there is a way you can measure to know with certainty if you can fully open your trunk with the RockyMounts MonoRail Solo Bike Rack for 1 Bike - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # RKY10007 attached with no bikes loaded. I confirmed with RockyMounts that the cradle sits 13 inches from the center of the hitch pinhole at 15-3/4 inches high. This is the part of the rack that determines whether you can fully open the trunk with no bike loaded without tilting. I recommend measuring your trunk to make sure does not hit 13 inches of length when the hatch is at 15-3/4 inches of height from the hitch's pinhole. I went ahead and attached a diagram that shows these dimensions on the center image. It is measurement "C" and "D."
If you need a hitch for your Honda Passport, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13421. The height from the ground to the inside lower edge of the receiver is 14-3/4 inches tall. From the center pinhole to your face of rear bumper, that measurement is 4-1/2 inches long. I went ahead and attached a video that shows these dimensions on your vehicle to help you determine hatch clearance with the MonoRail.
