Your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 will need the Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Installation Kit # RP56007-53. This kit includes custom fit under bed brackets that allow you to mount the included bed rails. Then you will be able to use your Reese 30049 sliding 5th wheel hitch with your Silverado.
The Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness # 41157 will allow you to install a 7-way trailer connection in your bed. This will prevent the 7-way or cord from being damaged due to stretching down to the bumper connection.
