Distance Between Cradles on One Arm of Kuat Beta Bike Rack

Question:

What is the maximum distance between the 2 cradles center to center on one arm. I have 2 bikes with rear racks which makes them wider than most bikes and I want to know if there will be enough room for them on the 2 bike model or if I need the 3 bike model. To rephrase my question I want to know the distance between cradles on one arm, that is the length of arms. I dont want to know the distance between the arms.

The bends in the arms will prevent the cradles from being adjusted any further apart than 12 inches, which would translate to about 9-1/2 inches when measured center to center. Placing the bikes on the rack so that they are in alternating directions will maximize the available space for you.

To carry womens bikes or bikes with sharply angled top tubes or step-through frames, using a frame adapter like part # UB01 is recommended. The adapter spans the distance between the seat post and the handle bar gooseneck, and provides a level attachment point to the bike rack so the bike has greater ground clearance and is not carried at an angle.
