Which Firestone Air Helper Spring Kit for Towing 9K Travel Trailer with 2022 Ford F-250

Question:

I'm towing a 9000 lb travel trailer with my 2022 Ford F250 2WD. I'd like an air spring setup to eliminate some of the squat I'm getting in the rear suspension. I'll also be carrying roughly 1000 lbs of gear in the truck bed. I really like the Firestone Ride Rite, I used them on my last truck but I'm not sure if I should go with the 5K or the 7.5K capacity kit.

Given the amount of weight that will be applied to your rear suspension which will be somewhere around 2000 lbs, I believe the Firestone Ride-Rite # F2600 air helper spring kit which offers 5000 lbs of support would work perfectly for your application. Anything over and above that capacity-wise would be overkill that you'd be wasting your money on.

You might also be interested in an on-board compressor system like # F2219. A compressor system would allow you to add or remove pressure from the system while you're on the move to compensate for the load you're carrying and the existing road conditions.
