Does MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box Have a Break-In Period

Question:

I replaced a Rota-Flex with the Mo/Ryde and the ride didn’t change. Does it take a bit for break in? It is on a 2021 Alliance Paradigm 310RL with a Lippert Rhino frame. I’m towing with a 2021 GMC Denali Hd Dually and a Pullrite 2600 hitch b

Did you have a good ride quality with the Rota-Flex and were just hoping that the MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box # MR44HR would be a lot better, or was the ride quality not great with the Rota-Flex and the MORryde is just as bad?

There isn't a break-in time for the pin box (or any pin box that I know of for that matter) but MORryde does have some troubleshooting tips like making sure the rubber compression bumpers are in place and checking that the trailer brakes have a slight drag when you spin them by hand. If everything seems okay with that then we need to reach out to MORryde and they can speak with you about possibly needing a different sheer spring that has a different rate (although this one seems to be what you need for your 2021 Paradigm 310RL).

Hopefully this gives you a few things to check. I'm linking a review video for this pin box as well as a clip from the instructions for you to check out.
