When installing the Replacement Control Module for Lippert Electric Coach Step, # LC301702 the black wire gets connected for the step light.
The four pin connector is for the motor wiring harness and two pin connector is for the motor. The black wire is for the step light and green wires to ground, one grounds the chassis, the other one grounds to the steps. The purple wire is for the step light switch.
