Can Timbren System be Used with Fastway Weight Distribution System

Question:

Our Ram 1500 has a payload of 1757# and a max towing of 11,200#. When I pulled our new travel trailer for the first time it wanted to move the truck around with the slightest bump in the road or cross breeze/semi truck wake. This was very unnerving considering at just over 650# tongue weight and 6000# dry weight I am definitely under my truck ratings. I figured it was in part due to the SL factory truck tires and the rear coil springs making for a very mushy ride. I have plans to upgrade to LT tires and I have installed Timbrens in the rear to help with squat and body sway under load. I have yet to tow with the Timbrens installed but was wondering ahead of time about the current set up of my WDH. I am wondering if the Timbrens will counteract the weight distribution aspect of the WDH I have on the trailer. It is a Fastway E2 with sway control trunnion bars. How do I ensure that I am not controlling truck sway at the cost of controlling trailer sway? Or am I over thinking it and the Timbrens and the WDH will not work against each other but instead with each other? Might I have to raise the L brackets to make the bars tighter? Please help. New RVer and just want to ensure everyone’s safety. Thanks.

You can use a weight distribution system like the Fastway # FA92-00-1000 with a Timbren kit and they will work great together. You will actually end up using less spring bar tension from the WD system though as you'll basically need to go through the entire setup process for setting the spring bar tension for now that you have additional rear suspension support.
